FEI World Cup Championships 2022; Everything About World Cup:

FEI World Championships 2022 – chosen Cities:

In 2019 the FEI Board announced the host cities for the FEI World Cup Championships 2022 in Moscow.
Denmark has been appointed to host the ECCO FEI World Championships in Herning City.
Denmark will host the events of show jumping, dressage, para-dressage, and vaulting. If Covid-19 gives the world a break, things will start returning to normal.

FEI World Cup Championships 2022

The 2021 Show Jumping World Cup had to be canceled because of the new Covid-19 outbreak. The event had been planned to be held without spectators but it was finally called off.
All expectations now rely on Denmark’s World Cup, to be held in August 2022. The event promises to be unforgettable.

The other city chosen to host the FEI 2022 World Cup is Pratoni del Vivaro in Italy.
Eventing and driving events of the World Championship are going to be held in this city in September next year.

The idea underlying FEI’s Board decision to host the Championships in two cities is to make the organization of the events easier and sustainable for the host cities. “By allocating these multi-discipline Championships to Herning and Pratoni del Vivaro we are looking to work with hosts that already have the necessary experience and required infrastructure in place to organize world-class equestrian championships,” an FEI source stated.

FEI World Cup 2022 – Olympic and Paralympic disciplines:

The World Championships 2022 in the Olympic and Paralympic disciplines of Jumping, eventing, dressage, and para-dressage will serve as qualifiers for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic games, making these World Championships even more interesting and competitive.

The FEI 2022 calendar will be super busy: they are going to have the FEI World Championships, which are held every 4 years between Olympic Games that are held every 4 years as well. They are also going to have the FEI World Cup finals held in Leipzig (Germany) and many other events. There are about 4 thousand equestrian events regulated by the FEI every year, an outstanding number; it’s almost unbelievable.

FEI World Championships 2022 – History of the hosted cities:

Going back to the hosting cities, Denmark’s Herning city runs an annual qualifier for the FEI Dressage World Cup and in 2013 it held the FEI European Championships for Jumping, Dressage, and Para-dressage. On the other hand Italian city, Pratoni del Vivaro was the venue for the Eventing discipline at the 1960 Rome Olympic Games. The city also hosted the cross country competition for the 1998 FEI World Equestrian Games and the FEI World Driving Championships for Singles in 2006 and 2010.

Running events of this caliber is very challenging but the hosts of both cities are working hard even during this harsh pandemic to organize everything for these huge events.
The clock is ticking and the countdown for the 2022 World Championships has already begun.
