NorCordia announces a strategic partnership with Swedish U25 dressage talent Cecilia Bergåkra and the leasing of 18 stalls at Randbøl Dressage Academy. These moves mark significant steps in NorCordia’s continued expansion and reinforce its dedication to developing elite horses and riders.
“This partnership and facility expansion come at the perfect time to support our growing business, as more clients seek high quality trained sport horses,” says Ulrik Clemmensen, co-founder and CEO of NorCordia Europe. “It strengthens our ability to develop and present top horses while complementing our expanding investment portfolios.”
Unique Facility Expansion at Randbøl Dressage Academy
NorCordia’s expanded presence at Randbøl in Denmark places the team within one of the most complete and forward-thinking equestrian environments in Europe. The academy brings together a rare combination of services and expertise: horse reproduction, rider education, and full training and sales programs—including preparation for championships and awards as well as on-site veterinary care.
Randbøl is also an established and growing competition venue, having hosted the Danish Dressage Championship in 2025, and set to host it again in 2026 and 2027, as well as the European Dressage Championships in 2027.
“Having so many competencies and resources in one place is truly unique,” says Dennis Fisker, CEO of Randbøl Dressage Academy. “I am very happy about this agreement with NorCordia. I have known their team for many years and trust them completely. Their professional setup align very well with Randbøl’s mission to develop talent and excellence at the highest level.”
For Bergåkra, the setting’s natural environment and infrastructure were key:
“For me and my horses, having a natural setting is very important,” she says. “With nature nearby and many outdoor training options, I can develop the horses exactly how I want.”
Cecilia Bergåkra: Rising Champion and Medalist
Bergåkra, Sweden’s youngest-ever Grand Prix rider at just 14, recently won her first U25 Gold and Senior Silver medals at the 2025 Swedish National Championships, finishing a busy summer with a 10th place in the final at the European U25 Championships in Kronberg, Germany.
Cecilia will officially join NorCordia on September 1st, 2025, and is relocating to Denmark, where she will be based full-time at the Randbøl location.
Cecilias younger sister, Emilia Bergåkra, already rides at NorCordia’s U.S. location, further deepening the family’s ties to the organization.
Shared Commitment to Classical Training and Horse Welfare
NorCordia and Bergåkra are united by a strong commitment to classical principles, long-term horse development, and equine welfare.
“We are proud to partner with a rider of Cecilia’s calibre and values,” Clemmensen notes. “Her results are impressive, but her dedication to the horse’s wellbeing is what truly matches NorCordia’s mission.”
Bergåkra echoes the sentiment:
“Sharing values about the horses and their environment was key in our discussions. My goal is to develop happy athletes who promote sustainability in the sport.”
Future Ambitions
Looking ahead, Bergåkra is focused on championship-level competition and continuous growth.
“I look forward to developing as a rider and horseperson, and to gaining new experiences with the NorCordia team,” she says. “I dream of competing consistently at the highest level—and together with NorCordia, I want to do this in a modern, sustainable way.”
