Emilia Bergåkra, rider.
In the north of Sweden, on the family farm ‘Bergåkra’, the love for horses has gone through generations. Growing up in a proper horse family, Emilia and her sisters basically grew up on a horseback.
With free rein, Emilia quickly found her passion for dressage. In her short 19 years, she has gained experience in international shows and championships as a dressage rider and has belonged to the Swedish national team 🇸🇪since she was 13 years old.
With her base in Hälsingland, Sweden, training under her mother Sigrid Bergåkra, she has traveled around Europe participating in several European and Nordic-Baltic championships as a pony, children, and junior rider.
She has also been part of the Swedish Nations Cup team at prestigious international shows such as Hagen’s ‘Future Champions’ and Equitour Aalborg.
As a 7-time Swedish championship medalist, including 4 gold medals, and with her recent graduation from Naturlära Ridgymnasium, she has now left her Swedish home ground to further develop in the equestrian sport as a rider for NorCordia. With a humble and targeted perspective, she looks very much forward to the future with great guidance from Catherine!

Upon graduating, she made the bold decision to turn her lifelong love into a full-fledged career, delving into the professional realm of equestrian sports while continuously honing her riding skills.

Cecilia Bergåkra, Partner
Cecilia Bergåkra’s passion for dressage began early in Sweden, where she quickly established herself as one of the country’s most promising young riders. At just 14, she became Sweden’s youngest-ever Grand Prix rider, setting the stage for a successful competitive career.
In 2025, Cecilia won her first U25 Gold Medal and Senior Silver Medal at the Swedish National Championships and later finished 10th in the final at the European U25 Championships in Kronberg, Germany. She has consistently achieved top results in youth and U25 international competitions.
Cecilia has joined NorCordia as a partner and is now based full-time at Randbøl Dressage Academy in Denmark. She focuses on training and developing NorCordia’s horses using classical principles, ensuring each horse can reach its full potential while promoting long-term welfare. Her dedication to both the sport and the horses themselves reflects NorCordia’s mission to combine high performance with sustainable, responsible equestrian development.
Cecilia’s journey in horses is deeply connected to Naturlära Ridgymnasium (a Swedish high school focused on equestrian education), the school her family founded at Bergåkra Farm in Hälsingland. Naturlära has been a central part of her daily life, combining general academics with specialized training in natural horse management and equestrian sports. She will continue to support the school while welcoming Naturlära students exclusively to NorCordia programs in Denmark and the U.S., as has been the practice over the past four years.
